How OfferLetter Works

Everything new users need: install, session setup, the interview toolbar, keyboard shortcuts, credits, and GhostLayer™.

Quick startDuring interviewShortcutsCreditsLong sessionsGhostLayer

Quick start

Four steps from download to your first AI-assisted answer.

1

Create account & download

Sign up on the website, then install the Windows desktop app.

  • •Create a free account — no credit card required for the trial.
  • •Download the 64-bit installer from the Downloads page (Windows 10 or 11).
  • •Run the installer and launch OfferLetter from the Start menu.
2

Sign in & complete session setup

Log in once, then fill in interview prep before your first session.

  • •Sign in from the desktop app — your browser completes secure login automatically.
  • •Open Session setup from the menu and enter target company, role, and interview details.
  • •Optional: paste resume or background notes (Starter Pack and Pro plans) so answers match your profile.
3

Configure preferences

Set languages and answer mode from the ⋯ menu before you join the call.

  • •Answer language — how AI responses are written (20+ languages).
  • •Code language — default for coding answers (Python, Java, TypeScript, etc.).
  • •Meeting audio language — live transcription (25+ languages or auto-detect).
  • •Answer mode — Auto-detect questions by default, or Manual (Ctrl+Enter per question).
4

Start the interview session

Use the frosted toolbar and dual-panel overlay during the call.

  • •Click Voice Answer, Screen Solve, or use shortcuts — the app validates credits and opens the status overlay.
  • •Left panel: live transcript. Right panel: streaming AI responses with Q&A history.
  • •Use Chat for a separate manual question panel without stopping transcription.
  • •Press Stop when the interview ends, or Ctrl+G to reset for the next round.
First time tip: Complete session setup (company + role) before pressing Start or Screen Capture — the app blocks starts until prep is done so answers stay relevant.

During the interview

After setup, the frosted toolbar sits on top of your screen. The status overlay shows live transcript on the left and AI responses on the right.

Voice Answer

Ctrl+Enter

Captures what the interviewer just said from the live transcript and streams an answer in the response panel. Best accuracy when you trigger manually after each question. (Automatic answer mode also works as default)

Capture Screen

Ctrl+H

Takes a screenshot of your display and solves coding problems, MCQs, or system-design prompts. Combines screen content with session memory and transcript context.

Add screenshot (multi-shot)

Ctrl+Shift+H

Queue up to 10 partial screenshots for problems that scroll off screen, then press Ctrl+H to solve the full queue together.

Chat

Toolbar button

Opens a dedicated chat window for typed follow-ups or practice questions while the main session keeps transcribing.

Toolbar actions

  • Start — After clicking on start answer from live transcript in the response window automatically (same as Ctrl+Enter manual solve).
  • Capture Screen — screenshot + solve (same as Ctrl+H).
  • Chat — separate panel for typed questions.
  • ⋯ Menu — preferences, keyboard shortcuts list, session setup, dashboard link, sign out.

Keyboard shortcuts

Global shortcuts work even when the overlay was hidden with Ctrl+B — the app reveals it automatically.

How credits work

  • •One credit is used per successful AI solve — Voice Answer, Screen Solve, or Chat solve.
  • •Live transcription during an interview does not consume credits by itself.
  • •Free Trial includes 3 AI solves. Starter Pack includes 50 (never expire). Pro plans are unlimited.
